Bakers Are Better Together

You are on a mission, to make the best possible food for your community and to make a living doing it.

But it can be hard, lonely work. And not just the baking part; you have a business to run too.

How, when we're working so hard every day, can we also connect with our peers and learn from each other? Even if you can afford to attend the odd Baker Gathering, getting away from the shop can be a huge undertaking.

After talking to dozens and dozens of bakers all around the world and hearing them ask similar questions about running a successful bakery, I knew I had to bring the community experience to my baker friends.

Together, we can build bakeries that serve us as well as our community.

Build The Bakery That Fits You

There is no single right size for a bakery. But there is a right size for you, your team and your community.

We welcome everyone from the home baker looking to expand to existing professional bakers. From cottage market / subscription bakers to large wholesale operations. From fresh milled whole grains to the whitest of cakes and donuts.

By sharing our goals and our experiences, it's possible to design and build a business that fits your needs and your market.

Your People Need You For The Long Term

Making the leap from baker to owner is tough. But it's nothing compared to the keeping your bakery profitable for the long term.

There are so many resources available for the craft of baking - from weekend workshops to pastry school to the Guild.

But the Business of Baking? That's something else entirely. It's crucial that your business chops are as strong as your baking chops.

So often, bakeries burst on the scene with a great product and an awesome Instagram feed. But they fade away all too soon without sound business practice.

Bakers4Bakers is all about building a bakery for the long term. Because your community needs you.

Hi, I'm Mark Dyck.

Founder of Bakers4Bakers, creator of Rise Up! The Baker Podcast, workshop coach and all round community guy. I'm a baker and former bakery owner too.

A few years back, I took part in a workshop that changed my life. It proved to me that people can truly connect and help each other grow, while working together online.

Inspired by what I learned, I've been actively coaching and building communities for business owners all around the world. But I keep drifting back to my true love:

Bakeries and the people who own them.

What You Can Expect In Bakers4Bakers

The heart of Bakers4Bakers is a robust, moderated, online platform. It's a place to ask questions, share answers and share resources.

Bakers4Bakers is also a mastermind. Through guided discussions on regular video calls, bakers can get to know each other better and find solutions to their biggest challenges.

Finally, B4B is a business accelerator. By sharing tools and techniques around staffing, inventory, finance and marketing, B4B members can level up their business acumen as well as their baking craft.

Our Members Speak

Nate Hogue

With Bakers4Bakers I have found a community of professional bakers that are willing to be honest and vulnerable, openly sharing their knowledge and experience. Whether it's nerding out on spreadsheets, being brutally honest about finances, celebrating a break through, or simply offering support for a time when they've been in that same tough spot, this is a group that's not afraid to show up.

Daisy Chow

Bakers4Bakers is a forum where you can ask anything, and there's a good chance someone in the group has been through the same situation. We're a focused, experienced group of bakers with meaningful advice!

Sarah Rossi

Bakers4Bakers is a tight knit community of like minded individuals. The site offers support and feedback from a community of people who seek to foster each others' well being-- as bakers, as business owners, and as bread enthusiasts.

Mark's enthusiasm for bread and community is contagious and is reflected in the community he is developing here.

Vince Mancari

I've experienced very few people in the world who have the ability to bring a group together - and the generosity to pull the best out of each and every member - quite like Mark. Wherever you are, he is a supportive and reliable light for your path ahead.

Nate Hogue

It's one thing to be a baker. It's another to be a bakery owner. Bakers4Bakers is going to help you navigate that bridge, without jumping off it.

- One more from Nate Hogue because, well, he's awesome!
